Round bale system
HSR Heutrocknung offers three solutions for customers with round bales. From Round Bale Flexi, the ideal extension to a lose hay drying system, through mobile round bale channels made from wood or steel up to robust built-in versions and container solutions.

The system can be ordered with a large spiral hose or with a sheet metal duct. There is the option of ventilating one or two round bales at each outlet. The flexi-hoses can be ordered by the metre. Butterfly valves with hose slip ring ensure versatile operation. The system is controlled by means of a pressure-resistant fan.
The system is ideal for farms with a loose hay drying plant, where the farmer wants to dry a few bales under the canopy along with the loose hay.

2022 HSR Heutrocknung has completely revised its premium round bale pressure duct. The duct elements for 2 round bales (max. Ø 150 cm) in a sturdy design made of galvanized sheet steel have dimensions of 340 x 146 x 64 cm.
The modular design can be extended up to 120 round bales. Two additional supports per round bale hole provide more stability (up to 800 kg/bale). The Premium round bale duct system is quick and easy to assemble. It has a floor fixing option to prevent unintentional slipping.

We offer insert rings or stationary round bale solutions. These are let into the floor during barn construction. The rings, in various sizes, can be purchased from HSR.

The production of round bales requires significantly more know-how than drying loose hay. The Fink farm in Seekirchen, which year after year wins prizes for its hay at the ARGE Heumilch Hay Championships, proves that first class hay can also be obtained from round bales. The golden rule is to design the system correctly.

The outstanding feature of the spacers, further developed by HSR, is their light weight (less than 15 kg per spacer). This means that they can be lifted without difficulty by one person. The three lugs ensure more stability for the upper round bales and the extra long channel connection makes for convenient connection to the air hoses.

The round bale systems are very flexible and can be adjusted to suit the customer's circumstances. For example, the Round Bale Flexi System can be extended in each case by one outlet. In the mobile Premium pressure channel there are from one up to four outlets and in the concreted versions further linear extensions are also possible.
