Pressure-resistant
fans
Our VARIO fan series in two designs is adjusted to requirements by means of a frequency convertor. The HSR fan series is particularly pressure-resistant, which provides the basis for a successful hay drying plant. The fans with powder-coated, stable steel housing and additional turbine paint finish in the Vario Elite model guarantee long life expectancy and ensure consistent air flow.

All VARIO
The entire drive technology is continuously adjustable by means of a frequency converter. This technology is ideal for the power required for the drying process and ensures that only the energy required is purchased from the energy provider. The frequency required is requested fully automatically by the intelligent HSR control system.

Our VARIO fans are MADE IN AUSTRIA. They benefit from numerous design improvements, which are the fruit of our many years of practical experience, while their high-quality workmanship and high degree of efficiency and power make them stand out from the crowd. Our fans have independent vane wheel positions, special e-motors with strong bearings, a strong armature and a strong field.

Tips for installing the fan
Each hay drying plant is unique and so good planning is essential. The correct implementation of the plan is primordial for a proper drying process.
Example: A fan must move 60,000 m³ of air into the hay box. A HSR representative selects the appropriate fan. However, if there are structural defects and the fan stands too close to the wall and cannot take in the required volume of air, the haystack collapses, the material becomes compacted and intervention by the fire service will be needed.
In order to avoid mistakes in installation and planning, we have developed an 80-page document for planning support, which explains the most important ground rules for barn construction. This document is provided to our customers on purchase of our products.
Here are a few tips on installation of the fan:
- Ensure the fan has sufficient space to take in the air.
- The fan motor must not be located within the air flow (over-heating, air turbulence).
- The frequency converter for the fan must be mounted external to the fan chamber.
- For the cooling of the motor it is recommended that a Polokal pipe (HT pipe) is led to the motor from outside. The motor automatically takes in fresh air via the negative pressure.
- When ordering, note must be taken of the fan's exhaust opening.
Housing positions on HSR fans
Every HSR fan can be ordered in 16 different designs (positions). The designs differ in the position of the motor (left or right) and in 45% gradations for the exhaust opening. Note: The dimensions also change with the respective exhaust opening.
