HSR is writing history with the world’s largest hay dryer
The world’s largest hay dryer is being built in Iran, which will produce hay for 15,000 cows from an area of 25,000 ha. With an order volume of 8 million Euros, it is a remarkable plant of enormous dimensions. HSP is not only writing company history, but also history for the whole of agricultural technology and the business location Austria, because it is HSR that will be supplying this plant.
A state visit by the Iranians to Austria was specially organised for the celebratory contract signing. This meant our guests included the agricultural ministers of Iran, Algeria and Austria as well as other Upper Austrian celebrities. The Algerian agricultural minister was particularly interested in the hay drying systems, and naturally we were happy to provide the necessary information.
The contracts were signed ceremonially last Wednesday by Sepp Reindl and the Iranians in presence of all the guests in the framework of the Welser Messe.
A few weeks ago we visited the operation in Iran to get an overview of this huge area. We have tried to recapture some of the impressions from our visit to present that here and in doing so show you some of the here completely unimaginable fields.
