HSR Heutrocknung is presented in Parliament with state award for sustainable development in business
HSR, with its technology and vision of modern agricultural hay-drying practice, is leading the way in achieving sustainability goals and already putting resource-saving methods into application. Thousands of tons of plastic waste are avoided and high-quality soy, wheat, corn, and grain are preserved for human consumption, rather than being used as animal feed. HSR's dehumidifier drying process and modern hay cranes also contributes to saving thousands of tons of CO2 emissions, as it uses no fossil fuels in the drying process and, when combined with solar energy, operates almost independently of external energy sources.
For animals, this type of hay feed resembles a very natural diet – simply put, it is like a dried, highly aromatic tea. Happy, long-living cows, calves, horses, sheep, and goats are the result.
With an impressive 65% share of exports, HSR is economically vital for Austria, helping to maintain an even and stable export trade. HSR is one of those companies that started in a garage, with someone’s visionary idea, proof that the land of endless opportunities can also be here at home and that Austria and its engineers with their vision of sustainability provide an excellent base for this.
HSR Heutrocknung, with its founder and visionary Sepp Reindl, and their advanced technology are meeting the sustainability criteria which are the basis of responsible behavior for us as humans. For this reason, HSR was chosen to receive the Austrian SDG-Award in the Austrian Parliament on Monday. This award is given in recognition of outstanding sustainable projects.
