Europe’s Largest Combination Drying Plant Goes Into Operation in Serbia
After a total preparation and planning time of two years, the largest and most complex combination drying plant in Europe has gone into operation in Vrbas (Serbia) near Novi Sad. After comparing it with other systems on the market, the plant’s operator decided on the HSR Heutrocknung SR system. Appropriate quantities and the versatility of the system were ultimately the decisive factors in the choice of this drying system. A seven-digit euro sum was invested in the construction of the entire plant.
5 hay drying boxes with a total surface area of approximately 1,300 m²
80 round bales
6 drying containers (final stage)
1 vegetable dryer
The plant consists of:
- 1 SR 150 Vario dehumidifier
- 5 ventilators
- 3 heating registers with 1 MW each (waste heat from biogas plant)
- 2 Vario comfort controls in a control cabinet
- 1 SR 1260 hay crane with 8 mto
This plant covers only a part of the basic feed production.
In particular, special attention was given to the expandability of the plant, so there would be no obstacles in the way of a later enlargement of the plant.
From September 16 to 18, our entire sales force (Klaus Wannenmacher, Kurt Wiedmair, Franz Schlatte, David Bichlmann and Robert Kinzl) and Managing Director Erich Retter made a tour of the plant.
There are also large grain fields and a fish farm included along with the agricultural operations of green fodder and milk production (approximately 1000 dairy cows). The company group also has other operations for processing agricultural products.
During our visit, we also learned about this part of the operation.
Thanks again for the very friendly and courteous reception in your home!
We wish the operators of the plant, the Mirotin/Sava Kovacevic Company, much success.
